The Little Big Things - London West End (January 2024)
Whilst visiting a friend in London after a job interview the two of us decide to see a show in the west end. Little Big Things was highly recommended by my friend and I can see why. It is a musical based on a true story where a teenager wanted to become a professional rugby player, however after a unfortunate incident during a holiday he became paralyzed from the shoulders down. After he and his family adapted and came to terms with this new life style, the paralyzed teenager called Henry Fraser started painting with his mouth and after a lot of practice he has painted amazing artworks to this day. I have looked at his website and I am astonished and inspired by Henry Fraser and his artworks, they are truly amazing and he is proof that you can do anything with art.
Mackintosh House - Glasgow University (August 2023)
Mr and Mrs Mackintosh were artists and designers whose styles are now well known and can be seen in many different parts of Glasgow. The design in the house had a sense of calm with the white walls and cream coloured carpet . There are also small and subtle details within the furniture and house that add to the overlook of the house without the house looking too ornate and detailed.
Berlin - July 2023
During a family holiday in Berlin I got to catch sight of the magnificent street and graffiti art around the city. The art is on a whole other scale, walls completely covered in the art with bright and vibrant colours along with meaningful messages, recognition and memories within them. It was a brilliant sight to see and will one day return to Berlin and other parts of germany to witness more artworks throughout the city and country.
Partick, Glasgow West End - Mural Trail (June 2022)
I was on a train on my way to a job interview when the train went past Partick in Glasgow West End where I saw two large illustration murals. I immediately liked the look of the illustrations. I continued to research this at home to find out more about these illustrations where I discovered there are more of these large-scale illustrations across Partick. Three of the murals are Lobey Dosser, Merlin the magician, and colourful wildlife. All three murals relate to Partick, Lobey Dosser (created by Bud Niell) was painted in tribute for Bud Niell who was born in Partick and became one of Scotland’s best cartoonists. Merlin the magician who is right next to Lobey Dosser was created by street artist Voyder and artist Mark Worst. As claimed by Adam Ardrey Merlin is supposedly from Partick, the artists used the old medieval lettering as inspiration for the artwork. The third mural was to represent Particks colourful wildlife in blues, purples and pinks which were chosen to mainly inspire kids to be creative. There is also a fourth mural created by Molly Hankinson who was inspired by Partick Community Garden and the result was Hankinson painting a woman working in a garden surrounded by plants. These murals were painted for Yardworks Glasgow Riverside Innovation District (GRID) Project to revitalize riversides of Glasgow with colourful street art works. The council wanted the murals to make Partick more inviting and appealing for tourists and locals as well as supporting small businesses within the area.

Little Vintage Photography Workshop - Cyanotype Printing (March 2022)
Even though I don't do much photography, this workshop was very interesting. I loved the cyanotype printing technique which is also known as sun printing. It produces cyan blue coloured prints and this is where blueprints came from. You mix together two solutions, Ferric Ammonium Citrate and Potassium Ferricyanide, put the solution onto a piece of card, paper, fabric etc. and leave it to dry in a dark place. You then place any leaves, flowers or even objects onto the paper and place it in the sun then the chemicals react to the sunlight and the paper turns into a grayish blue. After the time under the sun is done, the flowers and leaves are taken off and the card is washed with water and you can see the shillouette of the flower and leave on the paper with a cyan blue background, like the one I did myself below.
Pickolo Illustration Grove: Spring Artwork (March/April 2022)
As I was walking past Chester cathedral I noticed a large scale piece of artwork sitting in the gardens. I liked the look of the artwork as it seemed cheery and bright just as spring is coming around the corner. Due to a short time I was only able to take a couple of pictures and I saw Pickolo Illustration Grove at the bottom of the artwork. It was something that cheered up the day with its colours and illustrations.

Liverpool River of Light (October - November 2021)
This event was very fun. Some were interactive and some were very pleasing to the eye. They were of course the most enjoyable in the dark. The theme of this event was the Rhythm of Light and each artwork was inspired by the relationship by the city, light and music.
